How do we book AbFab for our wedding?
Call us on 01933 681699 or 07766 257130 for a no-obligation chat. We’ll visit you at home and explain what makes the Ab Fab experience so different. If you book, we require a reservation fee of £500.
How many photos do you take during a typical wedding?
Hundreds! We edit down to show you the best. Typically for Storybook packages, you’ll see 400 photos to make your choice from. Sometimes more.
How long are you at the wedding for?
We usually begin with the bride’s final preparations at home, and if there’s time nip off to catch the groom in the pub. Then to the ceremony, through the wedding breakfast and on until the first dance. We’re usually there for up to 10 hours. But it’s your day – we’ll photograph what you ask us to. The Reportage package includes up to 5 hours of coverage, but we can stay longer if you require (at additional charge).
How soon after the wedding can the bride and groom expect to see the pictures?
It usually takes up to two weeks. Every picture is worked on by our retoucher to make sure you look your best. You’ll will get a CD and DVD with all these pictures as a keepsake.
What shooting style do you use?
For the Storybook packages we typically we shoot a mix… from more candid, reportage-style photos, some of the more traditional posed formal photographs plus we often run an outdoor or indoor studio set-up at the reception for some unique, high-quality images. At some point during the day, we will also slip away with you for a few quiet moments. It’s time for you to catch your breath and to catch some romantic quiet images for your album. Crucially, we aim not to get in the way. It’s your wedding day, not an exclusive photo shoot! The Reportage package is a more natural way of shooting a wedding with just one photographer, but a limited amount of studio-lit photographs will be taken subject to photographer’s time on the day.
Can you do specific formal photos?
Of course. Just ask! It’s useful to have a specific list of all the formal shots you require prior to the wedding. But we’ll be as flexible as possible on the day. For the Reportage package we’ll do a very small amount of formals to be agreed beforehand.
Do we have to have a pre-wedding/ engagement shoot?
No. But it’s fun and we’ll get to know each other a little better before the big day.
How soon after the wedding will we get our finished Wedding Album?
If a couple choose their pictures quickly, it can be within six weeks. We ask couples take no longer than six weeks to choose their pictures.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. As long as the balance is paid two weeks before the wedding.
At the reception, are the bride and groom expected to make arrangements to feed the photographer along with the other guests?
No. We’re there to work for you, not join in the dining! We would not want to think that a wedding guest or two might have been left off the wedding couple's list so that they could accommodate feeding the photographer!
Can all of our pictures be posted online? Can we have a CD with the web images? Can we have a DVD of our pics? Can we have big enlargements or canvas wraps? Or other fine art prints? Parents albums? Thank-you cards?
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! If what you want isn’t in our standard price list, just ask!
What type of albums do you offer?
Fine-quality, hand-made, leather-bound reportage albums. Or the very latest contemporary magazine-style printed books.
Do you offer engagement photography?
Yes, it’s available to add to your wedding package.
Are you fully insured?
Yes! We have £5million of public liability.
Can I upgrade to my package at a later date?
Of course. It’s possible to upgrade from Reportage to Storybook up to a month before. And it’s possible to upgrade from Storybook to Platinum Storybook at any time. We shoot the same photos and retouch the best for every wedding. You can upgrade after you’ve seen your pictures.
What if the price goes up between booking and the date of my wedding?
We always honour the price stated at the time of booking. So you’ll not have any nasty surprises!
